Will I have problems registering the car with a salvage title?

I'm about to buy a 1996 Audi A4 that has been wrecked. The only damage is a dent on the passenger side doors but they are going to be replaced and the car runs and drives great but it has a salvage title. Will I have any problems registering or insuring the car? I reside in South Carolina.

As long as the title is clear has no liens, you can register it. But the new title that you get will still say salvage on it. As far as the insurance goes, there are too many variables to mention here. That will be something you have to visit an insurance agency in person to get.

each state is different. most will issue a salvage title. you cant legally drive it at the point only change ownership. some type of inspection will have to be done to make sure it is road worthy and a rebuilt title will then be issued. after that you can register it and insure it like any other vehicle
